Complete custom software development — from concept to ideation, innovation to development, testing to deployment. Web, mobile and desktop, for businesses of any size.
Capabilities
Inventory, billing, quotations, scheduling and field operations built around how you work.
Managing interactions in both directions, plus the internal operations behind them.
Your new system talks to the ones you already run, rather than becoming another island.
Permissions, approvals and an audit trail that stands up when someone asks who changed what.
The numbers your managers actually need, not a data dump nobody opens.
Deployed where your business and your regulator need it to live.
Pipeline
A line-of-business system is only as good as the parts nobody demos: roles, audit, integration and the reports the board actually reads.
Code, infrastructure and IP are yours from the first commit — the handover is designed in.
How we deliver
You gain a team that understands your business domain as well as the technology.
Talk to an engineerHow we build
We offer complete custom software development, covering the whole technical path — from concept to ideation, from innovation to development, from testing to deployment.
Working with Apastron gets you a team who understand your business domain as well as the technology, not only the framework they happen to like. We deliver web, mobile and desktop software for organisations of every size: the B2B and B2C interactions, and the internal operations nobody outside the company ever sees but everybody inside depends on.
Talk through your systemOur process
Three stages, each with work you can see. Nothing moves to the next stage until you have looked at what came out of the last one.
We gather what the project has to achieve and start on the technical shape of it — stack and architecture. The goal is to surface the real requirements and the likely technical challenges early, and answer the questions that always arrive with them.
We work through every detail that makes the difference between software people use and software people tolerate: the route your users take through it, what you expect of it, and the explicit do’s and don’ts. Everyone involved should be able to name the parts that carry the most value.
Wireframes that document the functionality and the information architecture, then a clickable prototype of them so you can walk the flow from one screen to the next and tell us where it breaks.
Mockups from primary and secondary page layouts through to the application screens themselves. The design is where most of the arguments should happen, because it is the cheapest place to have them.
The designs become real code, built in sprints. At the end of each one you can open the growing software yourself and give the developers feedback while changing it is still cheap.
Functional, regression and integration testing inside the sprint rather than saved for the end, plus load testing before anything with a deadline goes live.
Release with a rehearsed rollback, monitoring switched on before the first user arrives, and a runbook your own team can follow.
Our technical team stays with you through deployment and we are glad to keep maintaining the system afterwards — with response times agreed in writing, not implied.
We would rather be your technology partner than your vendor. The arrangement flexes as your needs change, which is usually where the next opportunity turns up.
Front end & back end
A well-designed front end is not much use without the back end to support it. However good a screen looks at first glance, people leave the moment it stops working properly.
So we build both: interactive tools and features for the front, responsive interfaces for every screen size, and a structured back end underneath that gives the front end its power. Secure, consistent and able to take real traffic — including for brands whose look needs bringing up to date at the same time.
See the stack we useOur process
We stick to a systematic software development process.
Scope, timeline and a fixed number in writing — agreed and signed before any build starts, so nothing moves later without a conversation.
We map the process, the data and the money attached to it, then agree what success means.
Incremental delivery with a working demo at the end of every sprint.
Automated tests, security review and user acceptance before anything goes live.
Release, monitoring and a maintenance arrangement with agreed response times.
Before you ask
When the product you would buy forces you to change a process that is genuinely your advantage, or when licence costs per seat outgrow the cost of owning the system.
You do, from the first commit. Everything lands in your repository under your organisation, and the handover includes architecture notes and runbooks.
Thirty minutes with an engineer, not a salesperson. You will get a straight answer on scope, timeline and cost.
