Questions
Everything people ask us before they sign.
34 questions, answered plainly. If yours is not here, ask it — we answer the awkward ones too, including the times the honest answer is that you should not build the thing at all.
Working with us
The questions almost everyone asks first.
What does a project actually cost?
It depends on scope, but for orientation: a focused automation or workflow build typically lands between ₹5–15 lakh, a full product or commerce platform between ₹15–40 lakh, and a discovery week is a small fixed fee. You get a firm number in writing before any build starts — never an open meter.
How soon can you start?
Discovery usually starts within one to two weeks of signing. If you have something urgent, say so in the form and we'll tell you honestly whether we can take it on rather than making you wait to find out.
Who owns the code and the data?
You do. Code sits in your repository from day one, infrastructure runs in your cloud account, and your data is never used to train any model. Full IP transfer is written into the contract.
We're not sure AI is right for us. Is that a problem?
No — it's the most common starting point, and part of the audit is telling you when the answer is no. If an off-the-shelf tool solves your problem for a fraction of a custom build, we'll name the tool and you can go buy it.
What if the prototype doesn't deliver?
Then you stop. We deliberately put a working prototype in front of you within about two weeks, measured against the success metric we agreed up front, so the decision to continue is made on evidence rather than on a proposal.
Do you work with clients outside India?
Yes. We deliver for clients across the Gulf, the UK and the US, and we overlap working hours with your team rather than expecting you to meet Indian business hours. Contracts and invoicing can be handled in your currency.
AI, automation and chatbots
What an agent can actually do, and where a person still has to.
What can an AI agent actually do for my business?
Answer support tickets from your own documentation, read and file incoming documents, draft quotations, chase payments and surface the next best action inside your CRM — all with a human in the loop where it matters.
Will our data be used to train public models?
No. We deploy against enterprise API endpoints with training disabled, or self-hosted open models where the data cannot leave your environment at all.
How do we start without a big commitment?
With a fixed-fee proof of concept on one workflow. You get a working demo on your own data and a decision point before anything larger is signed.
How is this different from AI & Automation?
Chatbots are the conversational surface a customer talks to. AI and automation is the wider back-office work — document processing, internal copilots and multi-step workflows that no customer ever sees. Most clients start with one and add the other.
Will it just frustrate our customers?
It will if it is built to send people away rather than help them. We measure how often it actually resolved the question alongside how satisfied people were, and we design the handover so a person picks up with the whole conversation already in front of them.
Data, analytics and reporting
Which of the three you need, and why the order matters.
What is the difference between data engineering and analytics?
Data engineering builds the pipelines, warehouse and tests that make the numbers trustworthy. Analytics is the work of interrogating those numbers to answer a business question. You need the first before the second is worth paying for.
Why do we need a warehouse before AI?
Because an AI agent is only as good as what it can look up. Without one clean, governed copy of your numbers, an agent confidently repeats whichever spreadsheet it happened to read.
Power BI or an open-source tool?
Power BI if your organisation already lives in Microsoft 365 and per-seat licensing is not a constraint. Metabase, Superset or Grafana if you want to self-host, avoid a licence that grows with headcount, or embed reporting inside your own product. We will recommend against our own build if a licence genuinely works out cheaper.
Why do we need a metrics layer?
Because otherwise 'revenue' is defined slightly differently in four dashboards and every meeting starts with an argument about whose number is right. A metrics layer defines it once, in code, and every report reads from it.
Building software
Web, mobile, custom systems and commerce.
How much does a website cost in India?
A brochure site with a CMS typically runs from a few lakh rupees; a customer portal or web application is scoped individually. Send a brief and you will have a fixed number within five working days.
How long does a website take to build?
A corporate site with a CMS is usually six to ten weeks from kickoff. Portals and web applications run twelve weeks and up, with a working demo every week.
Will my team be able to update the site?
Yes. Every site ships on a CMS your own team can edit without a developer, with a handover session and written documentation.
Do you build for both iOS and Android?
Yes. We build one React Native or Flutter codebase that ships to both the App Store and Google Play, which is typically 30 to 40 percent cheaper than two native builds.
Do you handle App Store and Play Store submission?
We do. Store accounts, listing copy, screenshots, review responses and the first release are part of the engagement.
Can the app work without internet?
Yes. For field teams we build offline-first data capture that queues locally and syncs when the device reconnects.
When is custom software better than off-the-shelf?
When the product you would buy forces you to change a process that is genuinely your advantage, or when licence costs per seat outgrow the cost of owning the system.
Who owns the code?
You do, from the first commit. Everything lands in your repository under your organisation, and the handover includes architecture notes and runbooks.
Which e-commerce platform should I choose?
Shopify if you want speed and low operations overhead, WooCommerce if you are already on WordPress, Magento or a headless build if you have complex catalogues, B2B pricing or ERP integration.
Can you integrate my ERP and inventory?
Yes. Orders, stock, pricing and customer records sync both ways with Tally, SAP, Zoho, Odoo or a custom back office.
Can you take over a product another team started?
Often, yes. We begin with a paid architecture and code audit so both sides know what we are inheriting before anyone commits to a roadmap.
What do I get at the end of a design engagement?
A clickable prototype, a component-level design system in Figma, and developer handoff notes — not a folder of flat images.
Running and securing it
After launch, and before your security review.
Can you reduce our cloud bill?
Usually. Right-sizing, reserved capacity, storage lifecycle rules and killing idle environments are the four that pay for the review itself in most accounts.
What does your AMC cover?
Patching, backups with restore tests, uptime monitoring, security updates and a named response time for each severity level, written into the contract.
Do you do ISO 27001 certification?
We do the consulting, gap assessment and control implementation that gets you ready for audit. The certificate itself is issued by an accredited certification body, not by us.
What is covered in a VAPT?
Authenticated and unauthenticated testing against the OWASP Top 10 and ASVS, infrastructure scanning, a prioritised findings report and a free retest after you fix.
Getting found
Search, AI answers and paid.
What is GEO and how is it different from SEO?
Generative engine optimisation is the work of getting your business quoted inside AI answers from ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. It depends on clear entity data, structured markup and quotable, factual copy rather than keyword density.
How long does SEO take to show results?
Technical and on-page fixes move within four to eight weeks. Competitive rankings and pipeline from organic search typically take four to six months of consistent work.
Sector questions
Asked often enough in one industry to be worth answering here.
Can one site serve several campuses?
Yes. We build a shared content model with per-campus overrides, so each campus edits its own pages while the brand, navigation and compliance sections stay consistent across all of them.
Still not sure?
Thirty minutes with an engineer. You will get a straight answer, and a shortlist whether or not it has us on it.
